All Chelsea Hickman garments are made using Upcycled materials. This includes utilising second hand clothing, fabric salvaged from landfill and textile waste. The ultimate goal of these garments is to reduce the amount of textiles that end up in landfill.

All items are unique, one-off pieces and handmade in Naarm/Melbourne on Wurundjeri Country.

Chelsea Hickman 

 

Chelsea Hickman is a contemporary artist and fashion designer from lutruwita/Tasmania, currently based in Naarm/Melbourne on Wurundjeri County. Hickman’s work focuses on abject consumerism, found object and utilising textile waste as her primary source of materials.
She holds an Honours degree in Fashion Design from RMIT.
In 2020, she was the Open Category Winner of the ‘Woods Street Youth Art Prize’ for her textile artwork Danger Danger Danger Danger Danger. In 2021, she was the winner of the ‘Creative Call Out’ for the Melbourne Fashion Festival. In 2022, she is a finalist for the Victorian Premier’s Design Award - winners to be announced in March.
