- I am an independent, emerging, multidisciplinary artist and fashion designer based in Naarm/Melbourne, Australia.
My practice is focussed on utilising textile waste and found object to address concepts of sustainability, throw-away culture and fashion industry ethics. I upcycle second hand garments and clothing salvaged from landfill to create both functional, wearable pieces and visual arts. I present my work through performances, film, photography, abstract catwalks, public exhibitions and gallery installations.
My pronouns are she/her. I am an Artist in Residence at Yarra Youth Centre where I also teach weekly sewing classes. I hold an Honours degree in Fashion Design from RMIT and a Graduate Certificate in Visual Art from the University of Melbourne (formerly VCA). My most recent major commission was to design and produce the uniforms for MPavilion’s 2020/21 season, themed ‘Re-emergence, Re-animation and Re-use’. In 2020, I was the Open Category Winner for the Woods Street Youth Art Prize and received a Cultural Infrastructure Grant from Darebin City Council.
